'My glasses cost 30,000 yuan! French!'

A woman rode on a 68-year-old female stranger and beat her head for ten minutes, causing the victim to faint in a pool of blood at a shopping center in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province on Monday, xwh.cn reported.

A witness, surnamed Zhu, said the abuser shouted curses at the old woman, surnamed Hu, when Hu nearly scratched her while pushing a shopping cart. Hurling insults and becoming louder and ruder, Hu answered back, which led to the beating.

The abuser's glasses flew off when she launched herself at her victim. When this happened, the woman pointed at the victim, shouting: "My glasses cost 30,000 yuan ($4,795)! French! More valuable than your life!"

The victim was rushed to a hospital and is reportedly in a stable condition. The police arrested the trouble maker and launched an investigation into the case.
