Li wanted to photograph birds, but was having a hard time finding them. So what did she do? She set up a bird feeder in her home in Southwest China’s Guizhou province.
Her extraordinary effort paid off a month later when one day a red-billed blue magpie landed on the feeder.
"I have been placing walnut cake, cherry tomato and cooked yolk in the feeder for over a month, and finally I woke up Wednesday morning to their twittering and chirping."
Li said that it surprised her that the birds actually came. "It shows that the environment in my city Guiyang has really improved a lot through the years," she said.
The birds now come every now and then to Li's place, and her home has now become a favorite spot for her shutterbug friends.
