The five-day inspection visit to Beijing has assured members that the Chinese capital is capable of hosting a successful Winter Olympics in 2022, IOC's Evaluation Commission said on Saturday.
Movie star Jackie Chan joins in the recording of a song, "Wake up Winter," that will be used to promote Beijing's bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Ugur Erdener, a member of IOC Executive Board, said Beijing has a good chance to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, citing pleasant personal experiences during the 2008 Summer Games in the Chinese capital.
The International Olympic Committee wants to use the current Youth Olympic Games as a test model for a more sustainable approach to future Games' bidding processes and operations, said IOC president Thomas Bach.
