BEIJING - Guangzhou Evergrande's Brazilian striker Elkeson picked up two awards at the Chinese Super League gala including the best player on Thursday.
Elkeson, who top-scored 28 goals last season, was also given the best forward award. Wu Lei from Shanghai SIPG was selected as the best native striker.
Guoan's Spanish head coach Gregorio Manzano beat Marcello Lippi from Evergrande and Gao Hongbo of Jiangsu Sanity to take the best coach honor.
Guo'an finished second to Evergrande in the recently-concluded season.
"I couldn't get this title without my players," said Manzano. "They had presented good performance since the first day I got here and we had been fighting for the title to the last minute."
Luneng's Wang Dalei was named as the best goalkeeper, and the best young player went to another Luneng's player Liu Binbin.
At the same time, the lineup of the season was selected: Wang Dalei; Xu Yunlong, Zhang Linpeng, Kim Young Gwon, Zheng Zheng; Zheng Zhi, Giovanni Moreno, Zhang Xizhe, Davi; Elkeson, Wu Lei.
