"We're all ready," Yang Weize, executive president of the organizing committee of the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, told Xinhua right after he briefed the International Olympic Committee assembly on the preparation for the YOG Games.
According to Yang, the YOG preparation has been progressing smoothly in Nanjing while following the frugal policies.
"We are always aware that YOG are all about the youth," he said. "That's why we relied a lot on young people while making plans for the grand event."
He noted that the games will boost infrastructure construction in Nanjing and improve the environment of the ancient city.
