Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) served over 1.9 million people during the week-long National Day Holiday.

Specifically, PVG served more than 1.18 million passengers and handled up to 8,774 aircraft movements during the "Golden Week", up 7% and 8% year on year respectively, which both recorded a new high during a single week.

Meantime, SHA handled 4,997 aircraft movements and 0.73 million passengers from Oct. 1-7. Daily aircraft movements averaged at 714 and daily passenger throughput averaged at 104,700, with an increase of 4.58% and 6.65% from the same period of last year respectively.

In the meantime, China Eastern Airlines (MU) launched the MU767 flight from Shanghai Pudong to Hong Kong from Oct. 2, which is operated 8 flights per week.
