Wuxi counter opens for Shanghai airports
The Wuxi Terminal of Shanghai airports (Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport) was formally launched in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.
It is the second cross-district terminal of Shanghai airports, after the set-up of Kunshan Terminal in 2011, and it is an extension of service facility of Shanghai airports. It aims to provide better service for passengers in Jiangsu and Zhejiang province.
Located on the third floor of Wuxi Bus Station and covering an area of nearly 500 square meters, Wuxi Terminal is the only designated terminal in Wuxi. Currently, it can provide all the boarding services for flights on China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, and China United Airlines at Hongqiao or Pudong. After checking in at Wuxi Terminal, passengers can take a shuttle bus or train to Hongqiao or Pudong International Airport.
Passengers can check in at Wuxi Terminal up to 24 hours in advance, at least five hours ahead of Pudong International Airport, and four hours ahead of Hongqiao International Airport. If passengers taking the shuttle bus miss their flights due to traffic jams, the airport will give them priority to transfer to other flights.
With the development of cross-district terminals, Shanghai airports will provide better service to passengers in Shanghai, Jiangsu province and Zhejiang province.
