Sanmenxia of Henan province was named a "National Advanced City for Scientific and Technological Progress", the Ministry of Science and Technology said on Nov 15.
Authorities in Sanmenxia are holding a month-long promotional activity for the third National Economic Census, and over 40 units took part in the opening ceremony on Dec 10.
Sanmenxia was elected as one of the 262 national resource-dependent cities in China.
