A plane departs Sunan Shuofang International Airport on Dec 19. The airport has been making major strides in its move to become a smart airport. In 2018, it launched an ID card smart aviation display -- the first of its kind in China -- and obtained a patent issued by the National Intellectual Property Administration. Early in 2019, it also completed installing a smart anti-theft system and promoted intelligent security projects such as a suspicious baggage tracking system.
