Huang Qin, deputy mayor of Wuxi municipal government, met a delegation from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA), one of the 18 administrative regions of France on Oct 17.
Both sides held an in-depth discussion on promoting bilateral exchanges and economic cooperation.
Huang briefly introduced Wuxi's social and economic development at the conference. He said a lot of companies in Wuxi have intentions to invest in France and expressed his wishes that the French government might roll out more favorable policies to support communication and exchanges between companies from both sides, enabling them to realize mutual benefits.
Christian Estrosi, president of the regional council of PACA, said Wuxi's long history and developed economy have left him with a good impression, and Wuxi companies are welcome to invest in PACA. He said that he also hoped both sides could promote cooperation in more high-end fields.
As the third most economically important region in France, PACA has seen tremendous economic development over recent years and become a popular destination for Chinese companies to invest in France.
