An American school is to build a campus and start teaching in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) after signing a cooperation agreement with the government on Oct 11, Wuxi Daily reported.

St Joseph High School will adopt an American curriculum and use its own teaching resources, according to the agreement. The international school is aimed at the children of foreigners in Wuxi and other cities nearby, as well as American senior high school students who want to participate in cultural exchanges in China.

Established in 1962, St Joseph High School is located in New England, which shares profound educational resources with Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton and Yale University. The school's average score on Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT) is 2,000 with 30 percent of students enrolled by Ivy League schools and colleges every year.
