German Chancellor Angela Merkel stayed at the hotel at Tang Paradise Park when she visited Xi'an in 2010. She celebrated her 56th birthday in the park and received several traditional Chinese gifts.

The park in located in southeast Xi'an and was built in an architectural style typical of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907). There are twelve scenic regions in the park, providing visitors with an insight into the grandness, prosperity and brilliance of the Tang Dynasty culture.
