More than 600 hikers braved the spring showers on Saturday at the "Spring in Mashan" hiking event in Wuxi's Mashan town.
The event marked the official launch of the Taihu Lake Mashan Outdoor Tourism Festival. The festival schedule includes outdoor events such as a treasure hunt journey in the town's folk houses on Apr 23 and the "10, 000 Tents Festival" on May 14 and 15.
Hosted by the administrative committee of Taihu Lake National Tourist Resort Zone, the festival aims to promote its eco-outdoor tourism image.
