The city of Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu province plans to invest 299 million yuan ($48.47 million) in 14 programs to support the development of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in 2015.
Twenty-two government officials will be sent to Gongliu county in Xinjiang on March 10 to implement a new round of the support plan for Xinjiang.
In 2014, the city carried out nine support programs. This year, the city's efforts will be focused on project construction, including a public security monitor platform, Gongliu Hospital of Chinese Traditional Medicine, rehabilitation service center for seniors, secondary schools, bilingual kindergartens in rural areas and housing projects.
