Woodblock prints, gourd ornaments, crystal and other cultural handicrafts from Lianyungang attracted participants' attention in Prague as a Chinese Cultural Festival themed "Happy Chinese New Year, Beautiful Jiangsu" was held in the capital city of Czech Republic from Feb 18 to Feb 22.
In the Old Town Square in Prague, craftsmen of intangible cultural heritage from Lianyungang performed their skills and also interacted with visitors. Heidi is from Bruno, Czech Republic's second largest city, and she had studied in China for one year. She is very fond of the works by Chen Maoyi, the gourd art master. There are even locals who would like to cooperate with Chen Maoyi to promote his work to Europe.
Czech's crystal is world famous and Lianyungang's Donghai County is also a "Crystal Capital". Pang Gen from Donghai presented their crystal treasures and attracted attentions from their Czech peers. He was even invited to visit Prague’s crystal factory.
