The second annual IT 2020 Summit was held on Tuesday in Beijing to focus on Big Data, Cloud Computing and emerging IT trends.
The event, a world-class technology summit, was co-hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the US-based National Academy of Engineering (NAE) , with support from EMC, VMware, Inspur, and Lenovo.
The participants were expected to explore the applications of Cloud Computing and Big Data in key industries that are essential to China's IT policy, economic development and continued urbanization.
The attendees included officials, experts, and scholars from academia, industry and government from China and abroad.
Zhou Ji, president of the CAE, presided over the IT 2020 Summit and was joined by CAE Vice President Chen Zouning, NAE Foreign Secretary Venkatesh Narayanamurti, Lenovo Vice President Huang Ying and EMC Vice Chairman Bill Teuber.
