Guilin Liangjiang International Airport

Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is oriented toward a national tourism hub airport. This is the only airport in Guangxi and a rare airport in China which is suitable for the launch and landing of A380 airplane. Guilin Liangjiang International Airport terminal building and station site supporting facilities expansion project gained the approval from National Development and Reform Commission on November 2, 2013. With a total investment of 3.08 billion yuan ($502.6 million), the project is designed in light of the expected situations in 2020 such as throughput of 12 million tourists, cargo & mail throughput of 95,000 tons and flight movements of 101,200. Two new parking bays for A380 or similar models will be constructed, including supporting facility project such as airfield lighting. The airfield fire rating will reach grade 9.
