Volkswagen presents the Golf GTE with a plug-in hybrid drive

Ten key facts of the Golf GTE:
1. Golf becomes the first car in the world to be offered with all pertinent drive modes.
2. The Golf GTE is a zero-emission and long-distance vehicle all in one.
3. Golf GTE can be driven up to 50 kilometres in all-electric mode; the total theoretical driving range is 939 kilometres.
4. Low combined consumption (NEDC) of 1.5 l/100 km equates to CO2 emissions of 35 g/km.
5. The 1.4 TSI Golf GTE version achieves 110 kW / 150 PS, its electric motor up to 75 kW / 102 PS.
6. System power reaches 150 kW / 204 PS; maximum torque is 350 Nm.
7. Following GTD, GTE is the third GT in the model series.
8. Golf GTE has a top speed of 217 km/h and accelerates to 100 km/h in a mere 7.6 seconds.
9. Its standard features include LED headlights and the “Composition Media” radio system with a 6.5-inch display.
