Sanya to host world yacht festival

Sanya city, Hainan province, will hold the 2013 International Boat Show and Festival from Oct 16 to 20 in Serenity Marina.

The event will include business forums, yacht exhibitions, and yacht-themed culture activities.

This is the first time the International Council of Marine Industry Association (ICOMIA) will host a world-class yacht event in China. This is also the largest yacht event China has ever organized so far.

Covering an area of 80,000 square meters on land and water, the event is expected to attract more than 1,000 attendees from 500 enterprises, with over 200 yachts on site.

The exhibition will have sections both on water and on land to display boats and equipment from various countries and business projects.

Forums and conferences will cover such topics as investment and cooperation in the international yacht industry, yacht sales, and sea fishing yachts and clubs. Development, cooperation, and new business patterns and markets will also be discussed.

There will be a series of interesting cultural activities, including a world yacht brand photography show, an awards ceremony, a themed carnival, yacht weddings and sports-fishing games.

The festival is sponsored and launched by the Hainan Tourism Commission, Hainan Culture Radio Television Publication and Sports Department, Hainan Port Administration Office, Sanya government, China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA), and Hainan New Century Cultural Industry Investment & Development Co.
