Chengdu IOT-based port invites global investments

On the afternoon of September 28, IOT-based (Internet of things) Port - Chengdu International Hardware Electromechanical City officially commenced the investment attraction ceremony. Thousands of manufacturers assembled in Chengdu, including many world-renowned hardware and electromechanical brands. Chengdu is host to the first IOT-based hardware and electromechanical city, which attracts global investments to Chengdu.

The IOT-based Port - Chengdu International Hardware Electromechanical City, which aims to be No 1 IOT-based port in China, has the potential to receive over 20,000 businesses and attract 100,000 people to work and live on the master plan of 2.2 million m2. IOT technology will be widely applied in the port to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency of trade and commerce. Phase I of the project is nearly complete and the main part of A, B and C halls will be fit for opening at the beginning of next year.

There is speculation that the IOT-based port will team up with well-known electromechanical markets in Cologne, Germany and Chicago, US after the ceremony on September 28. This global investment attraction symbolizes that Chengdu is endeavoring to become a global platform for exhibition, trade and commerce of hardware and electromechanical products, thus giving an impetus to Chengdu towards its strategic planning as the largest trade and distribution center for hardware and electromechanical commodities in China.
