Should college education be more career-oriented?

China needs to reform its higher education system to enable lifelong learning and to emphasize hands-on training. That way, a student can plan on embarking on a career and prepare for jobs that are in demand in the market. More often than not, people will find out that they have to change careers in which case they need to go back to school to get another degree. Or in many cases, they lack certain skills required in their jobs which they could acquire through hands-on training.
