Tourists act badly due to lack of respect for others

On Thursday, a Chinese female tourist twice slapped the face of a cashier in a duty free shop in Los Angeles International Airport. The woman was subdued on the spot and later detained. The Beijing Times commented on Tuesday:

The consequences of the woman's behavior are clear: The flight was delayed, the woman will face punishment, and the stereotype of uncivilized Chinese tourists will be reinforced.

If only viewed from the perspective of the woman's slapping the cashier, it may seem that impulse is the devil.

It is an old topic, but it may not be to the point, because such incidents reflect the quality of citizens. It is worth noting that the slapping incident is a legal issue. No matter where they are, people have to obey the law.

Over the years, a lot of Chinese tourists have gone abroad and done foolish and illegal things, whether out of impulse or their sense of entitlement. But in all cases their behavior is a reflection of their usual behavior and habits.

Expressing dissatisfaction with someone by slapping them is in fact a mirror reflecting the slappers' lack of respect for others and their disregard for the law.
