President Xi Jiping said China and Pakistan were "all-weather friends that have always trusted, understood and supported each other" during his two-day visit to Pakistan, which is the best explanation of the strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan.
The China-Pakistan friendship has stood the test of time. The ironclad friendship between China and Pakistan began since the establishment of their diplomatic relations 64 years ago. Just as Xi mentioned in his speech in Pakistan, no matter how the international and domestic situations change, China and Pakistan always understand and support each other on issues related to the core interests of one another.
The friendship between China and Pakistan has been highly praised as "higher than mountains, deeper than oceans, stronger than steel and sweeter than honey". Chinese netizens even coined the term "Iron Pak" to refer to the unbreakable ties between the two countries.
The establishment of a community of common destiny between China and Pakistan is not only the two countries' strategic choice, based on the fundamental interests of each party, but also a demonstration of a new style of international relationship centered on win-win cooperation.
