Tragedy of 'comfort women'

Tragedy of 'comfort women'

Huang Youliang bit the hand of a Japanese soldier.

Japanese soldiers abducted Huang Youliang, who was born in Lingshui county, Hainan province, in 1927, when she was 14 years old. They took her to the Tengqiao military camp where they repeatedly raped her, and forced her to work as a "comfort woman" for four years.

"After I bit the hand of a Japanese soldier, he looked down and saw his blood-covered hand. He immediately pulled out his sword [and held it] over my head, ready to bring it down."
