(August 3, 2008)

This morning, we trained in Wukesong Gym. Premier Wen came to visit us. He told us he likes basketball very much, which made him easy to relate to.

He also said he expects us to show our skill and spirit in the competition. In fact, I feel that we face tough competition with our opponents, so we must try out best to succeed in the first round.

I want to tell you a story here. A few days ago, my teacher sent a text message to an interactive programme of Beijing Sports Broadcast. In this message, he said he liked Wang Zhizhi the most, because he was one of his students. Of the five students of our school joining in the Olympic Games, three play baseball, one is on the gymnastics team and the other one, Wang Zhizhi, plays basketball. He also sent us his best wishes. Later, the broadcaster read out the message, adding that nowadays people like to imitate all kinds of things; even here someone is pretending to be Wang Zhizhi’s teacher. At that time, my teacher sent me a message about that.

As a matter of fact, this teacher cares about me very much. We keep in touch with each other all the time. He told me that there are five students from my middle school selected as Olympic athletes, which is the most in ordinary schools. I felt happy to hear that. This is also our school's contribution to Beijing. I hope he is well.
