Chen Yifei

In 1984, some 38 canvases by the notable painter, Chen Yifei, were exhibited in a New York gallery. Memory of Hometown, which depicted the Twin Bridges in Zhouzhuang, was one of the pieces on display and garnered world attention for Zhouzhuang. The painting was chosen to be the first-day cover of the United Nations' postage stamps in 1985.

Shen Wansan

Shen Wansan, a legendary businessman in the Jiangnan area in early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and his residence Shen House has become a must-see attraction in Zhouzhuang.
