Zhouzhuang announces photo competition winners
(chinadaily.com.cn)The final results of a photography competition to find the pictures that best capture the gorgeous landscapes of Zhouzhuang, Jiangsu province were announced on Oct 10.
Thousands of local netizens voted for their favorite photo during the final vote, which Zhouzhuang held through its official WeChat account on Oct 1-10.
Voters got to choose from a shortlist of 30 pictures, which the organizers had selected from more than 400 entries submitted between July 1 and Sept 30.
First prize went to Dong Dawei, who received a Zhouzhuang tourism package worth 3,888 yuan. Three runners-up received tourism packages worth 1,888 yuan, while five further people were awarded tourism packages valued at 888 yuan.
The competition aims to promote the water town’s enchanting views and boost the town’s tourist industry.
