"Ruff" is in the air as dogs and owners attend blind date event

A grand dating event for dogs took place at Zhenai (true love) Square inside the La Villa residential community, Dianshan Lake town, on Jan 8.

The event was co-sponsored by dog food manufacturer Navarch Shanghai and dating website Jiayuan.com.

Upon registering, owners and their dogs received a numbered card to determine their match ups.

Owners disclosed the habits, interesting stories and character traits of their dogs before they were matched with another pair.

Animal behavior experts were invited to answer questions from dog lovers on the day.

A talent show was also organized to allow the dogs to interact and improve communication between them and their owners. Outstanding performances were rewarded with Navarch products.

On the sideline, participants shared their experiences of how to connect with their animals and made new friendships.
