Every year Zhouzhuang Ancient Stage invites excellent performers from Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Academy to attend special performances. More than ten thousand have attended so far.
"Night of Kunqu Opera" not only passes on the art, but also introduces Zhouhuang's lifestyle.

Garden Tour of Peony Pavilion, a romantic masterpiece created by ancient Chinese playwright Tang Xianzu (1550-1616), tells about Du Liniang, who instigates her maid to play in a garden together, with no intention of study. Shanmen, tells about funny experience of Lu Zhishen, a fictional character in the Water Margin, after going downhill to escape from taboos and commandments as a monk.
