Zhouzhuang displays spectacular folk custom activities

Zhouzhuang, an old town in Kunshan, Jiangsu province has offered visitors various distinctive folk custom activities to help them spend an enjoyable Spring Festival. The activities also drew attention from China Central Television (CCTV), which broadcasted Zhouzhuang's New Year celebrations live.

On the first day of Chinese Lunar New Year, Zhouzhuang holds a traditional ritual of beating a fake spring ox (Da Chun Niu) to pray for the country's prosperity and peace. Visitors take photos with the fake spring ox and wish good luck. [Photo/zhouzhuang.net]
