In 2017, total import and export volume amounted to 581.6 billion yuan ($85.84 billion), a 14.3 percent increase year-on-year, 0.1 percent and 2.3 percent higher than the national and provincial level. Export volume grew by 5.2 percent to 325.4 billion yuan, 5.6 percent lower than the national level and 1.1 percent higher than the provincial level; import volume grew by 28.4 percent to 256.2 billion yuan, 9.7 percent and 0.9 percent higher than the national and provincial level.
