The fourth session of the 12th Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) convened on Jan 11.

Yu Weiguo, acting governor of Fujian province, reported on the work of the Fujian government.

During the five-day session, members of the CPPCC Fujian provincial committee will discuss the reports of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, the Fujian provincial government, the Fujian Provincial High People's Court and the Fujian Provincial People's Procuratorate; review and approve Fujian's 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) and specifically the plan and budget for 2016; review Fujian's economic and social achievements in 2015 including its budget performance; and elect a governor of Fujian province and a deputy director and members of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC.
