A grand buddhism event held in Mount Wutai

A lecture tour activity of conference preaching and exchanging Chinese buddhism was held in Mount Wutai on May 9, where the speakers explained and gave insights into classic works of Buddhist literature.

Organized by The Buddhist Association of China, masters and leaders from many of China's famous temples and Buddhism associations participate in this event.

Zhao Yongqiang, the vice director of Mount Wutai Management Committee, attended the meeting and delivered an address to welcome the masters and leaders present.

"This event provides a great platform for young Buddhist talents to exchange ideas, as well as being a precious opportunity for monks of Mount Wutai to further study classic works," Zhao said.

Hou Wenlu, the vice director of Shanxi Provincial Religious Affairs Bureau also stated that the activity will boost Shanxi's Buddhism community.
