It faces south and contains more than 30 halls and rooms for monks. Its central axis has two courtyards and its main parts are the main hall, Mahavira Hall, Grandmother's Temple, Mawang Hall, Guanwang Hall and Erlang Hall. The main hall was built during the Ming and contains murals with great historical value. The beams of Mahavira Hall are from the Jin and its unique interlocking wooden brackets are examples of Yuan work. The temple has been under provincial protection because of its historical and cultural value since 1980.
