Mount Wutai in Shanxi province saw a heavy snowfall the night of April 1, with temperatures reaching - 8 C and the Buddhist sanctuary turning into a world of snow and ice by the next day. And, in the midst of this silvery world, animals could be seen frolicking, as spring approaches.
