This Mount Wutai temple, also called the Mingyue (Bright Moon) Pool Temple, is 1,500 meters to the southeast of Zhenhai Temple and it is also surrounded by mountains and in a beautiful environment.
The temple was built during the Northern Wei Dynasty (534-550) so it has a long history. It faces south and is consists of the Grand Hall and Jingang Pusa (Vajra Bodhisattva) Hall, with rooms for monks on both sides forming a square. The Grand Hall has three rooms and wooden partition front and back, and Jingang Pusa Hall also has three rooms, with a large Vajra Bodhisattva in an unusual shape, with black face and body, standing on the right foot like a chicken, the left leg curved, and wind-fire rings under both feet.
