Porcelain, a perfect combination of water, fire and earth and an embodiment of traditional Chinese culture, always inspires foreign artists with its elegant style and mysterious craftsmanship.

Four German painters felt the same way about Langya Porcelain, a traditional artwork from Qingdao, Shandong province, after experiencing its craftsmanship and creating paintings on the porcelain for the first time.

Joan Stephan, 58, who has always been fond of the Chinese culture, drew the coastal scenery of Qingdao on the porcelain. She said she was impressed by the beautiful landscape of Qingdao and will have her porcelain artwork on display at the exhibition next month.
