A resident of Zibo, Shandong province, recently sent a message to ask for water on weibo (micro blog), the Chinese counterpart of Twitter, after being trapped in a traffic jam in Laiwu for five hours.
Chen Liang was driving on an expressway in Laiwu with his wife and 9-month-old daughter, when the traffic came to a halt because of a pileup of more than 50 vehicles.
At 1am on Monday, after a 5-hour wait in the stationary car, Chen wrote a message on weibo to ask for warm water and some medicine for his baby girl who had a fever.
Fortunately, a local couple responded to him in 20 minutes, and braved the wind and snow to bring him what he wanted.
