Taishan Mountain was named by netizens the most popular world natural and cultural heritage site in China during the third International Tourism and World Heritage Travel Exposition held in Macao from Sept 14 to Sept 19.
The awards ceremony for 2010 Most Popular World Heritage Site in China was initiated by the organizing committee of the World Heritage Forum and the World Heritage Travel Expo, and sponsored by the institute of world’s natural and cultural heritage research in Nanjing University and Huaxia Heritage Net.
The exposition was attended by more than 110 domestic and foreign companies and attracted more than 21,800 participants. The delegation for the Taishan scenic spot won praise for the group’s exhibit. The delegation distributed 2,000 copies of promotional materials and souvenirs during the exposition.
