The Mount Tai squadron of the Shandong province fire security brigade has guarded China’s most famous scenic spot, Mount Tai, for 14 years. During these years, fire has never hit the mountain, and more than 770 visitors have received firefighters’ help, while over 60 visitors were rescued from situations that could have been deadly.
For their extraordinary record, the State Council and the Central Military Commission of the PRC awarded the title"Guardian of Mount Tai" to the squadron.
