During the first half of this year, Tai’an tourism income amounted to $74.73 million, an increase of 46.23 percent. The restaurant industry developed fast under the influence of tourism.

Key projects like the Fengshan Ceremony virtual performance and the Fangte Happiness World promoted Tai’an tourism. During this period, foreign tourists numbered more than 128,000, an increase of 28.99 percent compared to the first half of last year. Restaurant retail sales amounted to 2.76 billion yuan, going up by 22.3 percent.

The private economy developed fast during the first half of this year. The whole city’s private economy retail sales number was 24.19 billion yuan, increasing by 19.9 percent compared to the same period last year. This fueled social consumption growth by 14.8 percent.
