The hydroelectric power plant is expected to provide sufficient power for economic development, accelerate the pace of domestic industrialization and attract more foreign investors, he added.

The Karuma Hydropower Plant is currently the largest infrastructure construction project in Uganda, as well as in East and South Africa. It is also a representative project of China-Uganda cooperation and a model project for China-Uganda friendship.

During the severe novel coronavirus epidemic situation in Uganda, all project employees worked together to overcome the impact of the outbreak.
