POWERCHINA signs wind power project in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Updated: 2020-12-23

POWERCHINA Hubei Engineering Co, a subsidiary of POWERCHINA, signed a contract online on Dec 18 with G&G Energy Co -- to build a wind power plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina -- through an engineering procurement construction (EPC) model.

At the signing ceremony, senior executives of the contractor gave a briefing on the core competitive advantages of the company's integrated designs and construction.

They said the company would leverage its considerable resources, secure prompt project financing and ensure it is completed on schedule and on budget.

Xie Yu, counselor of the economic and commercial office of the Chinese Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed thanks to POWERCHINA for its contribution in boosting China-Bosnia and Herzegovina commerce and trade.

G&G Energy Co in turn thanked POWERCHINA for its technical and business input provided in the early stages and praised the company's professional approach, hoping the two parties would use this signing as a basis to promote project implementation and develop the wind power market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As a country involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and a member of the China-Central and Eastern Europe Cooperation, Bosnia and Herzegovina has very rich wind power resources.

The project will become the largest wind power facility in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, helping to drive local employment and promote overall economic development.
