POWERCHINA signed a contract on Dec 16 to build the second section of the ZC6 expressway project in Georgia -- a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia.
With a total length of 5.8 kilometers, the expressway is configured with four-lane roads in two directions, with concrete pavement surface.

The project also includes the construction of six bridges, five tunnels, five concrete box culverts, and one culvert. The construction period is 27 months.
It is the 10th expressway project that POWERCHINA has won in the past 10 years after entering the Georgian market in 2010, further enhancing the company's brand influence and visibility in the local transportation infrastructure field.
The ZC6 expressway is an important part of the Georgia E60 international expressway and the first section opened to traffic on Aug 22 this year.
The completion of ZC6 expressway will effectively guarantee the early completion of the E60 expressway and will greatly enhance the transit transportation capacity of Georgia.
It will further become an important channel for China and Georgia to carry out in-depth Belt and Road cooperation. It will also promote economic and trade exchanges between the two sides, which is of great significance to deepen the existing China-Georgia friendship and accelerate the local economic recovery in the post novel coronavirus epidemic era.
