STECOL Corporation -- a subsidiary of POWERCHINA -- on Dec 9 won the tender to carry out construction of the ring expressway project in Abidjan, capital city of Cote d'Ivoire.
The main construction includes the construction of a 13-kilometer two-way, four-lane asphalt road.
It also involves eight bridge structures, drainage and protection work, signals and safety equipment, as well as public lighting.
The construction period will be 27 months and the funding source is the World Bank.
It is the second foreign exchange project tender won by STECOL in Cote d'Ivoire this year, which fully demonstrated its capabilities in the construction of municipal roads in Africa.
After completion, the project will improve traffic congestion in Abidjan, enhance its economic vitality and the integration of Abidjan Port and the city and promote local economic development.
In the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, STECOL's Central and West Africa Company haS adjusted its business strategy and focused on developing regional markets.
