Most Chinese know that Lijiang has claimed many international and domestic awards for its enchanting landscapes or ethnic dishes.

But recently Lijiang gained one more award for a, well, toilet.

The Yunnan provincial tourism association presented its "standard tourism toilet award" to a public toilet which sits at the entrance of Lijiang Old Town.

Last year it was reconstructed into a wooden building in the architectural style of the Naxi ethnic group.

Each booth has a tissue paper box, deodorizer, hand dryer and green plants. The public area has a couple of air refreshers and a fire extinguisher.

People can enjoy floral fragrances and music as there are music players amidst the bunches of fresh flowers.

All the workers attending to the toilet are required to wear Naxi ethnic costumes.
