The first International Civil Traditional Wushu Culture Festival will be held from September 27 to October 1 in Lijiang City, Yunnan province.
To expand martial arts culture and develop competition standards, the activity wants to feature traditional boxing and skills, which are important parts of civil society. The festival chose representatives of 33 schools and hundreds of boxing styles to attend the competition and display the essence of martial arts culture.
The Wushu Culture Festival is large in scale and has a profound influence around the world. More than 10 countries, including the United States, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, Switzerland, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Kosovo and France have shown interest in the festival.
More than 1,300 people have registered, and nearly 3,000 people are expected to participate in the activity.
China has a long history of folk traditional martial arts. The event will further expand the Chinese martial spirit and help make Lijiang a famous world culture city.
