If you want to spend a special Spring Festival holiday in Lijiang, you should consult a travel agency as soon as possible, or make your own travel plans. Book your flight ticket and choose a comfortable inn first, then wait for the holiday to arrive.

Collecting basic information about the food and scenery in Lijiang will be greatly helpful. It will make your trip much easier.

Lijiang is a famous city and consists of two parts: the old town and the new town. For tourists, the old town is the main attraction. Here you can see most of what Lijiang has to offer and be amazed by the beautiful wooden houses and ancient architectural style.

Here are some travel tips:

1. Sifang Street lies in the center of the Old Town of Lijiang. If you want to know the story of this street, almost every storeowner can fill you in on the details.

2. Lijiang inns serve as a kind of cultural element in the old town, so don’t miss them when you are in Lijiang. There are many inns for you to choose from, and some of them can pick you up at the airport free of charge. The inns are well equipped with modern facilities, such as 24-hour hot water, wireless internet, free long-distance calls and public computers.

3. Apart from inns, Lijiang bars also display the culture of Lijiang. You can relax in the small bars, reading a book or sharing stories with other tourists. You will never be bored in Lijiang's bars.

4. The temperature difference is sharp in Lijiang. Thick coats and down jackets are still needed in the morning and evening in summer. You can put on t-shirts with short sleeves at noon. The ultraviolet radiation is very strong so bring some skin care products.
