A tourism company in Lijiang is offering visitors a chance to take a free rafting trip down the Yangtze River.

As part of a newly built momentum in the tourism industry, Tengyun Tiger Leaping Gorge Drift Co is set to offer the promotion beginning in August. The announcement comes as the Lijiang's tourism industry is experiencing a large increase.

Company managers said the trip will on calm waters to keep tourists safe. Participants will raft under the guidance of the company's strictly trained crew. The rafting company is also considering building a Yangtze River Rafting Museum, where tourists can learn and appreciate the history of Chinese rafting and rafters.
