Starlight to invest 1.5b to build resort village in Lijiang

Starlight Communication Company signed a contract on August 11 with the Yulong county government of Lijiang, Southwest China’s Yunnan province, to build a “Starlight Communication Resort” project.

Starlight Communication Company signs a contract on August 11 with the Yulong county government of Lijiang, Southwest China’s Yunnan province.

This resort will cover an area of about 1,900 mu (127.3 hectare) and include a bar street, cinema, theater, villas, hotels, apartments and conference center, making it a five-star real estate project.

Wang Zhe, the chairman of Starlight Communication Company, said that investment for first phase of this resort will be 1.5 billion yuan. It will be the largest tourism project in Lijiang.

Song Guangcheng, CEO of Starlight, said Lijiang is one of the most attractive resort spots around the world, with unique cultural features and natural views. After the completion of a new airport, expressway and five-star hotels, Lijiang will have great potential for further tourism. Starlight Resort chooses to locate near the beautiful Lashi Sea and Yulong Snow Mountain to take advantage of these features.
